Cyprus is typically known as a popular holiday destination, but lately, it's rapidly turning into a world-class golf destination. With four world-class golf courses, alongside a true year-round climate that boasts longer golf seasons than the traditional golf hotspots of Spain and Portugal, many people are turning to Cyprus for affordable, golf holiday destination. 

The country currently boasts 4 world-class golf courses, including a European PGA course - and they're all within 30 minutes' drive of each other. 

Aphrodite Hills Resort 

The first resort of its type in Cyprus, Aphrodite Hills Golf Resort is home to a magnificent 18-hole PGA championship golf course, dedicated 3-hole golf academy, and a magnificent clubhouse, designed to appeal to golfers of all standards and ages. 

Spread over 6,289 metres and overlooking the site where Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, is said to have emerged from the sea and within 15 minutes of central Paphos, the golf course has a truly unique location.

This course won the IGTM (International Golf Travel Market) Award for 'European Golf Resort of the Year 2018' and has attained the highest standard recognition in Golf, the PGA National, Cyprus.

The course, designed to a world-class standard, has just undergone a €2.5m investment upgrade and complete modernisation including the reconstruction of greens and bunkers.

Minthis Hills Resort

The golf course at Minthis Hills enjoys a historical location, in the grounds of a twelfth-century monastery, from which the whole resort took its name. It's tranquil setting and mesmerising mountain views provide the perfect backdrop for a challenging game with its fairways swathing through mature trees and water features. 

At an altitude of 550m (1804 ft) above sea level, it’s a course for all seasons, enjoying cool breezes even during the summer. Originally designed by Donald Steel in 1994, Minthis Hills is the oldest golf course in Cyprus and has recently undergone extensive enhancement by Mackenzie & Ebert. Mackenzie & Ebert, widely known and praised for their work on four out of the nine British Open Championship venues, Tom Mackenzie and Martin Ebert have also created 60 new projects in 16 countries during their architectural careers over the past 20 years.

Elea Golf Course

Located just a 10-minute drive from Paphos, Elea Golf Club is the newest on Cyprus and is a Sir Nick Faldo designed course. This challenging Par 71 course is situated at the heart of the prestigious Eléa Estate in Cyprus, Eléa Estate Golf Club offers world-class golf in a stunning setting.

Secret Valley Golf Course

Designed by Tony Jacklin in collaboration with course architects Hans-George Erhardt and Snorri Vijhalmsson of Golf and Land design is located 18km east of Paphos. Described as a “thinkers course” it is probably the most challenging out of the 4.
