The Many Attractions of St Kitts and Nevis
09 May 2011
With so much to see and do, it is easy to see why so many new developments offering St Kitts Property for Sale are springing up on the islands of St Kitts and Nevis.
There aren't many world Heritage sites in the Caribbean, so Brimstone Hill in St Kitts is definitely worth a look. It's an 18th-century fortress situated on a hill in St Kitts that offers superb views. There is a former sugar estate, Ottley's Plantation Inn and La Belle Vie which is a French fine dining restaurant, not to mention the fantastic nature and landscapes, sun sea and sand.
St Kitts also has three medical schools and veterinarian school, which brings large numbers of undergraduates. These are a big pool of potential tenants, but they also contribute to the lively feel the island enjoys even during low season. The infrastructure here is pretty well established and can easily cope with an expanding population.
The island of Nevis is much quieter as there are no street lamps or fast food chains, and cursing and nudity is still illegal. It's extremely eco-friendly and is set to produce its own energy. That's not to say it doesn't have its fair share of luxury, as there are a number of good hotels situated in 18th century plantation homes, all of which are beautifully preserved.
The luxury hotel chain Aman also has plans for building a 40 room villa at the southern end of the island and there is a Four Seasons hotel to boot. This top resort has plans to expand their current portfolio of 68 million dollar villas which can be rented, or if you have the funds they are available to buy.
