15 July 2011

Turkish house prices grew by over 6% in June compared to last year according to the latest data. The latest release of the Association of Real Estate Investment Companies’ index Turkish house prices rose 6.40% year on year in June.

Earlier releases of the index, which is based on data from developers show that the annual rate of growth has been over 6% for the last 6 months. According to their index, which uses data from developers, the strong growth in June follows growth of 6.45% in April (no figures for May for some reason), 6.17% in March, 6.18% in February, and 6.30% in January.

GYODER also released data on foreign sales earlier this year, and reported that sales of Turkish property to foreigners had grown 40% year on year in 2010.
