Getting to Thailand

Getting to Thailand - Plane

Travel in Thailand is efficient, yet inexpensive. It is easy to get to Thailand's Capital, Bangkok, with two major airports serving the city. With a wide choice of airlines flying into the airport from global destinations daily, we recommended Skyscanner for finding the easiest route to the capital city.

Thailand has six international airports in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Krabi, Phuket and Ko Samui.

Air fares generally depend on the season. The high season runs from approximately November to mid-Februar, and the peak season is over Christmas and New  Year. July and August may also see prices inflate in line with school summer holidays.

From Bangkok, it is easy to transfer flights to get to most of the regional Thai airports. From here there are many routes to Phuket, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui.

It is also easy to travel around Thailand via rail, road and sea, with plenty of affordable options and friendly people waiting to assist you.
